Laura reviews The Haven at the Lodge on Loch Lomond
I would just like to leave a review about The Haven at Lodge On The Loch in Loch Lomond. My sister had her wedding at the lodge last weekend so i booked us in for a treatment day at the spa. It was the worst spa experience I've ever had. It was the day before the wedding and was supposed to be a relaxing day, but it turned out the opposite.
On arrival we were sat down and asked by the staff what we were booked in for, because she didnt know. I started with a massage which was very nice and my sister (the bride) had a french manicure. But the nail tecnician had run out of white for her nails so asked if beige was ok to put on instead! she filed her wedding finger nail right down and left the others long, and did one coat of very thin pink nail varnish - so thin, you could see the white of her nail through it.
We were both booked in for 'packages' hers a bride package, mine a girls night out package. After our first treatment, the owner of the spa turned up and asked my sister to pay for it all on her card, I mentioned at this point that as part of our packages, we were supposed to have bucks fizz and chocolates on arrival, we were not offered anything but 3 turkish delight chocolates left in an otherwise empty box - and a solitary jam donut (he told us the bride from the previous day had eaten everything!)
