My mother and I went to the most wonderful spa - Easthorpe Hall at Mirfield in Yorkshire. I had been before, with my husband, and it was equally wonderful then.
I am a bit of a spa expert ....I absolutely love spas and would spend my whole life in spas if I could (money and having to work just seem to get in the way!!) ....I'm always really fussy and quite critical to the point that I sometimes end up not relaxing enough as I am always looking for imperfections. At Easthorpe I didn't even get the chance to criticise .....from the moment you step in the door you are immediately made to feel part of the most amazing experience.
With the particular package my Mum and I were on we first had our lunch, which was fabulous...you couldn't ask for more. We then were able to sit in the gardens where drinks were brought to us without even having to ask. After some time to relax you are then escorted for 30 mins at a time round the pool and sauna complex whereby you are normally the only people using those particular facilities. Timings are managed very carefully to ensure there is no over crowding in any particular place. The staff pay close attention to the mood you are in, so whilst we had a parrafin hand wax scheduled in, the manageress noted that we looked quite comfortable in what we were doing so said she would schedule it in for later...instead we sat and read our books for a little longer before going for afternoon tea. We had our treatments scheduled at 1600 which was supposed to be a head massage and a facial - but really was a full back massage, facial, head massage with a brief arm, hand and foot massage. Both girls (Faye and Nick) giving the treatments were amazing...I felt so relaxed and almost fell asleep (which I never do....I'm normally to busy looking for fault!) my skin when I came out was absolutely radiant......it was amazing. My Mum also had what she thought was the best treatment she'd ever had. When we finished we were escorted downstairs to yet another room to relax.
The day was perfect - the location, the staff, the treatments, the food....most of all the attention to detail. I would reccomend this spa to anyone and everyone...it really is quite special.
