My friend and I went to the Bath Spa Hotel as a joint birthday present to ourselves (mine a belated 40th which I could not celebrate properly the year before due to being heavily pregnant at the time).
We loved our stay, we went on a "Thank Goodness it's Friday" special which incorporated bed and breakfast, a bottle of champagne and a one hour facial.
I can highly recommend the place, although it did have faults such as the ice room was not working and there was not even a sign to state that it was out of use. Also on entering the spa at first we were disappointed as we had to go back up to our rooms to get our bath robes (despite me ringing ahead to make sure that we did not need to take them with us). Then no one gave us any instructions on what to do next. We were booked in for our treatments but did not know where to go. The spa receptionist was only young and not very helpful.
But that said, from that moment onwards I could not fault any of it and the treatments (facial, and we also paid for a 30 minute back massage with hot stones) were wonderful.
I found your web page very useful and helped me in making the decision on where to go for my first spa experience.
