Jason reviews Ivybridge Spa, Pembrokeshire
My partner and I recently visited a nearby Ivybridge Spa in Goodwick, Pembrokeshire. I had seen the spa advertised prior to our visit but hadn't acted on it. It was intentionally a gift to my stressed, busy girlfriend who I thought deserved some much needed relaxation. What a perfect day we had.
The Ivybridge Spa is located in secluded grounds away from everything. A bonus for us was the extensive parking. I must say the spa is modern and extremely spacious, despite having only three therapy rooms. The facilities were fantastic: sauna, hydro spa, steam room, relaxation room... We had the mood lit spa all to ourselves for just over an hour, before a therapist asked us to shower prior to our treatments. The changing facilities were well-equipped and had many extras such as towels, slippers, gowns, body cream, shower gel, hair products, dryers.
I had the volcanic hot stone massage which was incredible. The therapist explained the treatment to me in detail before leaving me to get ready. I remember feeling quite light-headed after the treatment. The therapist lead me to a quiet, low-lit relaxation room where I sat and, dare I say, had forty winks. My girlfriend had a detox wrap of some description. She was extremely happy that she had lost a few inches and her skin felt amazing.
We are now considering joining the Ivybridge Spa as members to take advantage of the facilities as we live near by. The spa also offers overnight packages with lunch and dinner, which I am considering for our anniversary.
