Full Review The Treatment Rooms, Brighton - 5 bubbles Inside this modest-looking Brighton townhouse, you'll find an ambient atmosphere, fabulous facials, wonderful wraps and possibly, still, our Swedish Spy. She was very reluctant to leave the fluffy cloud of bliss that The Treatment Rooms created for her. There are no pools or heat facilities here, but you will find a relaxing atmosphere as well as effective treatments for beauty and well-being. Read More |

It is a city centre spa - so its not like visiting Champneys where you have pools and outside space and can accomodate a huge number of people in one go. That said some larger spas loose the personal touch and you can feel a bit like you are being hurded from one part to another. I have been visiting The Treatment Rooms for about 4 yeras and have to say the service, location, attention to detail and value for money is excellent. The staff are always very friendly. The spa isnt huge but upstairs the relaxation room is beautiful. I have always had regular massages and I always end up coming back to this place as it really is so good. In some other spas the location and decorations are beautiful but they forget some of the smaller details. Here the robes are comfortable and plenty large enough. The treatment rooms themselves are stylishly done and candle-lit. The rooms are very quiet so you cannot hear next door, the massage beds are comfortable and the therapists are very very good indeed. In some spas it feels like the therapists are going through the motions and not necessarily tailoring the experience to what you say, or what they discover as the treatment is underway. Here I think the staff are very competent and I have never been disappointed. I always have the Luxury Rose renew facial which I think costs about £75 for an hour and a half but includes a back, arm, and head massage as well. I wouldnt want to go anywhere else. Oh and the detox tea is delicious!"- loie159 19/05/2010 "Having read the excellent review here, I just tried to get some information on availability and prices for the treatment rooms for the end of June. (it is April). They emailed and then called to tell me that they didn't take group bookings as they didn't have space (they only have 10 treatment rooms. I wanted to book for 10 people). I thought this didn't add up but again, because of the review here I said that it would be fine for us to come in small groups dotted throughout the day rather than together. To this she responded by telling me that they actually weren't a Spa at all and they only really did massages (I was a touch confused by this!) and that if we wanted a proper spa then we should go to the Grand or the Landsdown. I said that we only wanted one treatment each and weren't looking to book a spa day but then she told me that they usually have back to back regulars in and so didn't want to take my booking. The fact was they were not interested in taking my booking. They probably assumed we were a hen party. They didn't ask (but did mention it in the email). Very disappointing to find they only want to deal with certain people (regulars and possible Good Spa reviewers!)"- kluck |
