Pennyhill Park Hotel and The Spa, Bagshot - 5 bubbles

There was fighting in the Good Spa Jacuzzi when Pennyhill Park invited us to sample their delights again. On our first visit, we were impressed. We were impressed on this visit, too. Pennyhill offers a definite 5-bubble experience. The facilities are fantastic, the treatments tremendous, and the customer service spot-on. Pricy, but you're worth it.

"My husband and I come here about three times a year for a real treat. The big draw is all the facilities - there are enough different types and temperatures of steam, plus a cold plunge pool and ice room, to take up a very happy few hours, even without visiting one of the equally massive variety of jacuzzis and hot tubs. The pool is also good, and usually quiet.

The treatments are very inconsistent, though - I tend to get the cheapest package that gives me access to the spa. I stayed in the hotel once and it's totally mediocre, too - not at all worth the price.

The food in the cafe is fine, and the Brasserie's not very good at all, but the Latymer is AMAZING and worth shelling out for."

"I have visited this Spa twice now with my husband and each time we have received excellent service from the staff and had such a relaxing time in the spa. The thalasso jacuzzi outside is great and there is an Ice room, steam room and Laconium. I would also recommend the food. I would definately visit this spa again and recommend a visit."
