"My husband and I had a pamper day at the Grand on Sunday and will be returning soon.
The facilities are not extensive but very pleasant and well looked after. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for us. We were not supposed to use the outdoor pool or take our lunch anywhere other than the spa lounge but as the hotel was not terribly busy it was arranged that we could do both.
The light lunch that was included was very nice and served beautifully in the hotel's very grand lounge.
My only gripe is that there was nowhere to relax in peace and quiet. There are loungers and chairs by the pool but this was quite noisy when other guests chose to not be sensitive to the fact that there were people trying to relax.
The facilites are: indoor heated pool and hydrotherapy pool, steam room, single-sex sauna in each changing room, gym, loungers and chairs by the pool, treatment rooms. The changing rooms offer Molton Brown toiletries (shampoo and conditioner in the showers), hairdryers, lockers (£1 coin operated) and changing cubicles.
You do not need to buy a pamper day package to use the facilities, you can pay a very modest fee for use but that would not include robe/slippers and lunch etc."

"My daughter and I have just been on a spa break at this hotel and it was wonderful. The hotel is, as it's name, very grand! We used all the facilities which were lovely. The pool is not huge but very nice as we were the only ones using it. This could be due to the fact that November is the hotel's quiet period. The spa treatments were delightful and very relaxing. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
