Chapel Spa, Cheltenham - 4 bubbles

Chapel Spa offers good value treatments, delivered by well trained staff in the unusual surroundings of an old Calvinist chapel. The spa has a large hydrotherapy pool, and attractive main lounge, but the changing rooms are rather cramped. Staff are welcoming and helpful, and you can choose from a wide range of treatments and brands.

"I spent my hen day with Chapel Spa last weekend and all of my party had a lovely time.
We are more of a sophisticated group and wanted a sanctuary to chill out in and combine with shopping in Cheltenham and the staff could not have been more wonderful. Extremely good service and the Pure Glow Organic facial was amazing.
Facilities are great and was the perfect size to not get lost and feel looked after.

Have now brought all of my wedding party gift vouchers to go back!

Thankyou Chapel Spa

"I have just returned from this spa today and just wanted to say how wonderful my day with them has been.
The staff and service was outstanding and the Champagne Full Body Massage was simply wonderful. Best massage I have ever had.
Loved the intimate but spacious facilities and wonderful fleecy robes!
I see that you have just had a review from the good spa guide and agree with the reviewer on a lot of things... apart from that I would have given you 5 bubbles!
Will definitely be back and would happily recommend Chapel Spa to anyone.
Even worth the drive on the M4 to get to you :)

"I am a regular user of Chapel Spa and absolutely love it!
The staff are top notch, treatments divine and the best customer service. Thats why I keep going back and avoid the bigger spas. They sell themselves as a small intimate day spa so I think the comments of the ladies above are unfair and for £18.50 to have 3 hrs in the spa with the facilities that they have is great value for money with their service. I always receive an email with all details that you have to bring, including your own flipflops - they tell you before you come! and have never had to sit on my knees to sit in the hot tub - love it that it pummels all of your back!I have sent all of my friends there and none of them have been dissapointed and planning to have my 40th birthday spa party there soon.
I cannot rave about them enough and the above comments were obviously 2 friends who decided to post comments on this website with bad intentions and with the numerous visits to the spa can confidently say I disagree!"

"I WENT WITH 3 FRIENDS FOR COMPLETE RELAXATION, WELL THE WELCOME WAS GOOD . THE DRESSING GOWNS ALL RIPPED THE TOWELS HAD SEEN BETTER DAYS AND THE FLOORS SOAKED!!!!!!! THE PLUNGE POOL YOU HAD TO SIT ON YOUR KNEES AS THE SEATS IN THEM ARE FAR TO LOW AND THE GYM THE SIZE OF A BOX ROOM!!!!! ONLY HAVE A STEAM ROOM ENOUGH ROOM FOR ONLY 3 PEOPLE. WE WENT AND HAD DINNER EARLIER THANK GOD AS AFTER WE HAD EATEN UPSTAIRS IN THE RELAX ROOM THE MUSIC WAS THUMPING FROM A ZUMBA CLASS THAT HAD JUST STARTED! WE WOULD OF WANTED TO HAVE A FEW MORE DRINKS BUT THAT WASNT GOING TO HAPPEN AS THE NOISE WAS JUST TERRIBLE!!! ALL THE STAFF WERE ALL LAUGING APART FROM A LOVELY MEMBER OF STAFF CALLED CHELSY! WHO ALSO AGREED THE NOISE WAS TERRIBLE. WE THEN GOT DRESSED TO LEAVE, WHEN WE SETTLED OUR BILL THE MANGER WHO WAS NOT BOTHERED OFFERED US 3 POUND REFUND ON THE EVENING!!! WHAT AN INSULT!!!!! I HAVE SINCE WROTE THE THE OWNER WHO AGAIN OFFERED US 3 POUND AND SAID WE SHOULDNT SIT UPSTAIRS TO RELAX ANYWAY AS WE SHOULD HAVE SAT DOWNSTAIRS!!!!! NEVER GO HERE. THE WORST SPA AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!"

"Went there for an evening spa, filled in forms on arrival which asked that everyone wear flip flops and if you didn't have any to ask, I asked (as we hadn't been informed of this at booking) and was told we didn't do that anymore therefore had to go barefoot also my towelling dressing gown had a hole in it. Its a very small spa with a limited gym and steam room. Tea was pre-ordered from a restaurant next door, good choice of menu, however the chips were cold when it arrived. The evening spa was until 9.00pm however at 8.25pm loud (and I mean very loud) music started to play (a zumba class) which shattered the piece and tranquillity. When we complained we were told to go back to the small pool area as we could no longer sit on the sofa's, you could hear the music in the pool area also. It really spoiled our evening as it felt like we were being "thrown out". Not a pleasant experience, would not recommend to anyone. I have visited much better spas else where in the county. "
