CityPoint Club, Barbican - 5 bubbles

Shy Spy was invited to this City of London spa to sample their impressive range of treatments, and discovered it was just as much a health club as a spa, so you're never short of things to do. She loved the pools and her peat facial. We're looking forward to hearing more about the pole-dancing class.

"Organised a corporate spa day at this Spa. The lady who coordinated my group offered a very competitive package and extended it beyond its running period to secure our booking. She answered queries promptly and efficiently. On the day we had a group of 15 ladies with drinks on arrival and lunch included. Very smoothly organised. Enjoyed the spa facilities (relaxation room, pool etc) and had high quality treatments. The seating areas are comfortable and intimate enough. Lunch was a buffet, good quality food and good value. Overall I would definitely recomment this Spa - great convenient City location, great facilities, good service and great value for money for a more upscale venue."

"I can't say I had the same 5 star experience. Booking was a nightmare and took repeated attempts to get it right. The treatment I had was about the same standard as you'd get in an east london hair salon.

The facilities are great, but the service needs some polishing."
