"This spa is absolutely fantastic you will feel calm even before you walk in the door as it is in beautiful countryside. I had the hammam ritual and like all the other reviewers was left totally relaxed and cleansed. If you get the chance you MUST go."

"Four frazzled mothers left ten children in the care of their fathers and escaped to the beautiful self-catering accomodation at Shortflatt Tower for a midweek rest and some pampering spa time. We were all blown away by the splendour of the rooms and the gorgeous gardens, but the spa was the total highlight. The Signature Indulgence Hammam Ritual, a whole hour and 30 mins, with lovely therapist Grace, was the most deeply relaxing and purifying treatment I have ever experienced. The Hammam room with its warm gold mosaic tiles and twinkling ceiling lights is heavenly. I and the friend who shared the treatment with me could barely speak afterwards we were so relaxed. We were shown to the relaxation room where we shared peppermint tea and gazed at the lovely fish tank until we came to. We followed up with Elemis facials with Debra, who left us feeling utterly dewy and renewed. Quite the nicest - and most effective - facial I have ever had. We are already planning our next visit!"

"Three friends and I (all of us busy working mums) decided to sneak away together for some "me/us" time before we get into the full swing of Christmas. It felt like a real treat - and it was! It was a really special experience for lots of reasons but three things particularly stood out for me.
1) The Hammam Treatment is something everyone should try - cleanses body and soul.
2) The Reflexology treatment I had by Grace - was fascinating and has really made me think twice about my body, what I eat and how I look after myself (so a really lasting treatment and something I will 100 per cent have again)
3) Sitting in the hot tub outside in the beautiful setting at Shortflatt watching the birds in the sky and the trees blowing in the wind - completely chilled out but fantastically warm.

We all left happy, cleansed and rejuvenated - and determined to go back next year and do it all again. Thank You everyone at Fullerton Place - can't wait for our return visit. "

"i visited Shortflatt Tower with a few friends and had the best time! The rooms are very comfy and beautifully decorated and it was a joy to be able to wonder downstairs to the 'keep' and relax in front of the log fire.
The spa is an inspiration and I loved the hammam experience - afterwards I was left feeling totally relaxed and refreshed.

"My daughter and I visited here last week as a joint birthday treat. This was my daughter's first ever spa treatment, therefore I didnt want to be disappointed and we weren't!

This place is a wonderful hidden gem.
The finish of the place and attention to detail are excellent.
Our therapist, Debra, was wonderful, very friendly and very professional. She made the day all the better.
Never had a hammam treatment before, I was unsure what to expect. It was amazing, incredibly relaxing!!and the perfect treatment to share with a friend. The unhurried attitude of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere meant that we spent most of our day here.... and could have stayed longer!!
I would definitely recommend this place.
If you do go, dont plan to do much afterwards, we had planned an afternoon shopping in Newcastle followed by dinner, but all we wanted to do was sleep!!
A light lunch option would make this place perfection!
