"i bought a voucher over a year ago and was unable to get through to make a booking and when i did get through i was given another number to call. this continued for several months. I finally went to the spa to make a booking and managed to get one for about 4 months later. A week before the appointment i get a call to say the appointment would be cancelled due to an incident at the hotel. Therefore i rebooked for 2 months later. Again, a week before the appointment i get exactly the same call, and get told i will have to call again in the future (aargh!) as my booking has been cancelled due to an unavoidable incident and to rebook i would have to call them in a few weeks.......here we go....."

"I booked the Deluxe Pamper Treat for my Mum's Birthday through Lastminute.com (£50 BOGOF), and visited with her in July 2010. We arrived at the hotel at lunchtime and had lunch at the Galvin at Windows restaurant which was fab - so far, so good! Afterwards, we went down to the Purity 'Spa' in the basement and were immediately disappointed. Rather than being a spa, it's just a tiny beauty salon with a couple of treatment rooms. We were ten minutes late for our appointment so were rushed through to the treatment room which was embarrassingly small and we ended up laid on a double bed type arrangement with no room to put our clothes or bags etc. By the time we were changed and the therapists reappeared, we had about 5 minutes left of our 30 min massage! My Mum's threapist's pressure was so firm, it really hurt Mum and she had to ask her to stop. Mine was lovely but over before it had begun. Afterwards, we had our finger & toenails filed and painted in front of everyone in the reception area! The bubbly came in a plastic glass. Overall, I was mortified and would certainly not visit again. By far the worst spa I have ever visited and a complete waste of money even at the special offer price - avoid like the plague!"

"This was my first visit to this spa,the girls were extremely friendly and helpful. My booking was all thorugh e-mail and Laura couldn't have excelled more I ended up with a fantastic hot stone massage for two and use of the steam and sauna rooms. My therapist,Becky, was fantastic, she actually managed to give constant firm pressure throughout the hour long massage and it was such a relief on my knotted muscles. Jasmine, who was massaging my friend was also very attentive and checked to see if the bruise that my friend had was sore which was great to hear, and glad to know that she was thinking about what she was doing. My only criticism would be the fact that the treatment rooms were really only suitable for one person receving a treatment and my friend and I were squeezed into the room and when it came to the massage the therapists struggled to have full movement around the table to carry out the treatment, and I would've quite liked the choce of what oil was used during the massage. The steam and sauna again were only really suitable for two but luckily, there was no-one else in there that we needed to fight with over the loungers! So all in all a nice experience for such a small spa,it was clean and a really excellent service from the therapists and the booking staff.
An even further delight was the glass of champagne at the end of the treatment."
