Oxley's Underscar (Blue Fish Spa), Keswick - 4 bubbles

Our Good Spa Spy wandered lonely as a cloud, when all at once she saw a small spa, where she could work out, swim, and chill. She waxed poetical about her very deep massage but could have done with a little more TLC from the staff, and some water. The Blue Fish Spa offers a very good value spa day with a great range of treatments.

"Arrived at Oxleys where the surroundings are beautiful. We were greeted by the reception staff who gave us a form to fill in regarding our treatments. The morning was very relaxing, however by the afternoon their was a group of 15 year girls who continually dived into the pool splashing those sitting on the loungers. They then made huge amounts of noise. After this the group went into the jacuzzi with no regard for anybody else. If you are going to advertise as a relaxing spa day, you expect to be relaxed not listen to rowdy teenagers!
As for the treatments the back massage was nice but over very quickly!
Three of us have been to Oxleys in the past and although we enjoyed our day we have experienced a more relaxed day in the past."

"A very relaxing day with a pleasant lunch and great treatments from Victoria who was lovely. Unfortunately spoilt by a mix up with a credit card booking I cancelled over 2 mths ago. BE AWARE any credit card deposits taken are NOT refundable even if cancelled over 2 mths beforehand as this was not mentioned to me at the time. An unfortunate end to an otherwise good spa day."

"My partner and I came for the day. we had the begginnings for 75 each to include a half hour head/neck massage and facial, lunch and use of pool/sauna. The food was lovely and the setting beautiful. Not much to do once we'd had a swim and sauna and a whole day could have been a bit long. We arrived at lunch and left at 4.30 and this was just right. We have been to a few spa days including center parcs but we both agreed that the facials we had were the best we'd experienced and for that alone we would return.
We came away very relaxed . Thankyou to Sue .
