This word is used to describe naturally occurring hot springs. Often found in volcanic areas.

Good for: A mineral burst of soothing waters, relaxation and fun.

Gommage

An unusual spa treatment using a mixture of clay, oils and herbs to exfoliate your body. Smoothed onto your skin in long stroking movements, this is a kind of mask applied to your body like a massage.

Good for: Depending on the ingredients of the gommage, this can be used to exfoliate, hydrate or draw out toxins; very relaxing.

Green tea

The favourite drink of health spa goers and generally of anyone with good-health intentions. A light, but distinctively-flavoured hot beverage.

Good for: Green tea is believed to flush out toxins and rehydrate you.
