What is TriYoga?
TriYoga is based on three elements: posture, breath and focus. Learning this form of yoga involves progressing through different levels, from "basics" up to level seven. Distinguishing features of TriYoga are wave-like spinal movements, the use of only the specific muscles necessary for each posture, and economic movements to save energy.
What is the aim of TriYoga?
To increase physical, mental and spiritual energy and awareness.
Precautions
Consult your doctor and your yoga teacher if you have any pre-existing health or mobility problems.
If you are pregnant, try a specially adapted antenatal yoga class. These will include safe, comfortable positions and are designed to help you prepare for labour and birth.
What to expect from TriYoga
Expect to be involved in a dynamic and reasonably fast-paced class. The flow is often quite intuitive, and focuses on wave-like movements of the spine. As your skill increases you will move through the seven stages, with each becoming more challenging.
What is TriYoga good for?
TriYoga can help you increase your energy, flexibility, endurance and strength, and provide relaxation.
Afterwards
Take what you have learned and see how you can use it in your everyday life; how you sit at your desk, how you stand at the bus stop – yoga can help every part of your life.
