What are the different heat-treatment rooms for and what order should I use them in?

Remember, you're in charge. There may be a suggested order but it's really up to you.

The first thing to remember is that you are the person it is most important to please at a spa. You may think that everyone else swanning in and out of the sauna and the ice pool "knows how to do it" but actually there is rarely one way. At some spas - particularly ones with fancy hydrotherapy suites and water-based treatments - you'll find information on the walls telling you which room and pool does what. At others, they'll just leave you to it.

Have fun - try everything out, then try everything out again in a different order. If you need more information, ask one of the staff; they'll know their tepidarium from their laconium.
