How can I avoid the sales pitch?
A hard sell is a no-no for any good spa. Many of us love spa treatments but hate the hard sell for the products.
The whole aim of a spa stay is to unwind and relax. Getting a sales spiel in the middle of your treatment is unacceptable. Most people don't mind being given information about the products that have been used after the treatment. However, you really don't want to be told what cream is being used and that it's on special offer this week just as you drift off.
Just say very firmly that you don't want to worry about that at the moment but will take some information away with you after the treatment. You could also make a deal with yourself that you won't agree to buy anything just after a treatment while you're still feeling spaced out. Let your therapist know this.
