Does "spa for men" mean "spa for gay men", or can anyone go?

A lot of men wonder about this but, unless a spa is specifically advertised as gay, any man can go.

A spa is not a pseudonym for anything else, and your sexual preference isn't relevant. The question isn't whether you're straight or gay, but whether you're the kind of man who takes care of his skin and appearance, and who understands the value of spa-going.

Today's modern man has nothing to fear and everything to gain from a spa visit. A good spa will treat you like a king. Which, of course, is no more than you deserve.

Good spas for dipping your toe in the water (metaphorically as well as literally) include:

* The Refinery, Brook Street, London

* Pennyhill Park, Surrey

* Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, Scotland
