Will I feel out of place if I go to a spa alone?
Some people's idea of heaven is going to a spa on their own.
At most spas, you'll find that some people are there on their own. In fact, being there alone can be very relaxing: you don't constantly have to check with a friend to see if they're ready for a sauna yet.
You'll meet other spa-goers in the exercise classes and treatment rooms but you'll also have plenty of time on your own to sit and read or just contemplate quietly.
Most spas offer club tables at mealtimes where you'll be seated with a group of people, and some of them will be their on their own, too. So you won't feel out of place in the dining room.
Residential spas often offer talks or activities in the evenings, too. You can join in as much, or as little, as you wish, but you won't feel awkward or left out.
