Who are the Good Spa Spies?
We are often asked about the identity of out intrepid spies. Of course, if we told you, we'd have to kill you but, for the über-curious amongst you, here are a few tit-bits about our secretive spa sleuths.
Sybaritic Spy
One of the founders of The Good Spa Guide, Sybaritic Spy is more knowledgeable about all things wellbeing than anyone you are likely to meet. When it comes to spa, standards aren't set much higher, and for Sybaritic Spy, it's all about luxury, sensuality and perfection.
Single Spy
Co-founder and spa oracle, oft-solo traveller Single Spy is a fountain of spa knowledge. In her expert spa experience, it's warmth, soft scents and absolutely no hard-sell that make for a perfect encounter.
Sweet Spy
Our resident young mum and general ray of sunshine; Sweet Spy likes nothing more than a spa bargain. However, good value doesn't mean scrimping on professionalism or technique, and Sweet Spy certainly expects big things from her spa experience.
Suave Spy
Our own personal 007, Suave Spy looks after all things male at GSG. An absolute perfectionist, Suave Spy isn't happy with just your average spa experience. To get him really excited, you need to throw in some drama and unexpected twists and turns. Just like the real James Bond, really …
Stylish Spy
Glamorous from her glossy bangs to her pedicured toes, Stylish Spy ensures the whole team are en vogue and in-the-know about the newest, most exciting, unusual and must-have spa and beauty trends. When it comes to spa, Stylish Spy just wants to look beautiful … whatever it takes!
Shy Spy
Don't let her name fool you. Whilst Shy Spy may like her spa experiences modest, private and serenely quiet, this isn't to say that she hasn't got a head for adventure. Like any self-respecting spy, Shy is ready and willing to do whatever it takes to find the very best treatments and products the spa world has to offer.
Student Spy
Our fledgling member, Student Spy keeps us most distinctly down with the kids. Student Spy loves a friendly therapist, and likes nothing more than setting her own soundtrack during a treatment. But, most of all, Student Spy likes a strong, simple massage when exams are getting her down.
Sedate Spy
"Water, water everywhere … and there must be plenty to drink!" Spa is synonymous with water, and so is Sedate Spy! She's all about hydration, as well as being pretty keen on a dip in the blue stuff, too. Whether she's lounging in the hot tub or elegantly partaking of a few gentle lengths, its peace and quiet, not splashing children that keep Sedate Spy serene.
Sassy Spy
Straight-talking Sassy Spy is all about indulgence. Gone are the days of kipping on a friend's floor or staying up all night dancing; Sassy wants a little luxury in her life, and isn't afraid to ask! You'll find Sassy Spy cocooned in an opulent relaxation room, or deeply involved in the longest massage a spa has on offer – she simply never wants her spa experience to end!
Salubrious Spy
Resident gym bunny and all-round healthy gal, Salubrious Spy loves a bit of pampering after a hard work out. Don't get us wrong, Salubrious Spy isn't adverse to a slice of cake, but she firmly believes that everything should be in moderation … unless you're talking about facials, that is!
