Do you regularly review the spas listed on The Good Spa Guide?

Yes we do.

We have a rigorous review process when we first visit a spa. We look at every aspect of a spa from cleanliness to customer service to towel fluffiness.

We also prioritise visiting new spas, or revisiting spas where there has been a substantial improvement to facilities or a new product range introduced, for example. Of course, we'd really like to visit every spa every couple of months, just to keep all our reviews up to the minute. However, the Spies simply can't get round to all the spas as often as they'd like, especially as there are now more than 500 places advertising themselves as a spa in the UK. So we visit a spa, on average, around every two years. Spas do change over time: some can get better, and some slip. That's why we publish the date on our reviews so you can see when we last visited.

Because we can't visit as often as we would like, reader reviews are very important to us; they're a useful indication of when we need to revisit a spa as a spa's standards may be slipping or improving. We know, though, that human nature means people are more likely to write to us if they have had a poor experience, or one which may not be a true reflection of the spa's usual offering, so we stay aware of this.

If you'd like to write a review of a spa you've recently visited, we'd love to hear from you. Please register and log in, then find the page for the spa you've visited. You'll be able to leave your comments just underneath the spa's contact details.

If you'd like to find out more about our review process and how we award spas their "bubble" ratings, then this page is good place to find out more: www.goodspaguide.co.uk/bubbles.cfm
