New Park Manor describes a [ comfort zone ] prescriptive facial
"[ comfort zone ] offers excellent results to everyone, no matter what your skin type "
Rebecca Barlow, therapist at New Park Manor Hotel's Bath House Spa describes a Comfort Zone prescriptive facial.
What is a [comfort zone ] prescriptive facial?
The main aim of the treatment is to offer excellent results to everyone, no matter what your skin type. The therapist will give you a full health and lifestyle consultation before your comfort zone facial. This will help determine which of the prescriptive facials the therapist will carry out.
The consultation guides the therapist to the ideal products for their client's skin. I'd hope that the client appreciates that I'm learning more about their needs and expectations from their treatment, and I'd hope that this would help them relax.
Why should I choose a [ comfort zone ] prescriptive facial?
[comfort zone] use an infusion of aromatherapy, phytotherapy and bio-chemical ingredients in their products, and each facial is tailor-made to suit the clients' individual skin type.
What to expect during the treatment
The comfort zone prescriptive facial begins with the Tranquility Welcome. You'll be asked to gently inhale a Tranquility Welcome oil blend. This mix of essential oils is relaxing and gives a sense of well-being for both mind and body.
The therapist then carries out a double cleanse of the skin to remove make-up impurities and pollution. Each cleanse is removed with a hot facial cloth which also helps you relax.
Your skin is then toned, and the therapist will gently massage an exfoliator onto your face and neck to remove dead skin cells. This important stage prepares the skin for the products to follow, to allow for more efficient absorption.
The therapist will remove the exfoliator using a hot facial cloth before giving you a comfort touch facial massage. This massage has a slow, deep tempo. It begins at your forehead and moves slowly down the face towards the neck and décolletage, around the shoulders and up through the scalp. This massage is designed to stimulate the removal of toxins and also to tone and firm the facial muscles and skin. The massage lasts for 20 minutes.
The therapist will apply a mask, specifically chosen for your skin type. This is left on for 15 minutes. The mask will boost your skin and give it an extra treat.
While the mask gets to work, the therapist will give you a hand and arm massage. She'll remove the mask with a hot facial cloth and tone your skin to balance it.
The therapist will apply eye cream, to support and hydrate the eye area. She'll end the treatment by applying appropriate facial serum and moisturiser to the rest of the face and neck to protect and nourish your skin.
What to expect after the treatment
Once the facial has come to an end, the therapist will leave you to relax. She'll then give you a prescription list of all the recommended comfort zone products, together with home-care advice.
